‘jman & the pigs’ is an Australian solo artist (Jonny Link) making dreamy alternative electronic rock with a psychedelic feel. Jack Tully also plays electric guitar on some tracks and has joined Jonny for some live performances. Production help is given by Michael Worthington, Ben Last, Colin O’Reilly, and a huge amount of other people unlucky enough to get dragged into it.

It is organ and drums driven music, with acoustic and electronic elements. The vocals are often layered and emotional. Live shows consist of Jonny looping his organ, then playing drums and singing over the top of it. If Jack is there he will add some fairly spacey and ambient electronic guitar parts on top.

Their first album DECIDE (2014) was recorded over a few years in a house in Broken Head, partially in France and in various other locations!

The SEA OF DREAMS single (December 2019) was an ambitious Music Video project which ended up taking almost 4 years to complete (on and off) and involved some minor injuries.

Their second full album HINDSIGHT was released in January, 2021.

The music has a unique blend of sounds and is loaded with emotion. Best heard relatively loud through car speakers, driving at night ( :

Jonny’s “Musical Journey”

Jonny started playing drums at around 8 yrs old which led to interest in other instruments, songwriting and sound production. He played drums in the bands “Zeal Room” and “Rainbow Junk” in Newcastle then in 2009 started making his first album alone. This started around the same time as he relocated from Newcastle to Byron Bay - a fairly touristy but also very unique and special town and area on the North-East Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

It would eventually take 5 years to complete the first album DECIDE (2014) then another 6 years to complete HINDSIGHT (2020)

The music has been inspired by many things; little adventures, Jack, Rod, Interesting conversations had with friends about purpose and meaning, both fleeting and long term relationships and their ups and downs, and the importance of always coming back to nature and let it guide you through things when they don’t seem to make any sense.
